The Lord of Life Fine Arts Concert Series
strives to facilitate the fulfillment of
The
Great Commandment
Love the Lord your God and Love your neighbor as yourself
by promoting music and the arts
to Plano and North Dallas communities.
The Lord of Life
Fine Arts
Concert Series began in 1999 by Benjamin Kolodziej while organist at Lord of Life and
graduate student at SMU. A committee has been formed to manage and organize concerts to
support the series.

Russell
Cook, Hammer Dulcimer.
Mr. Cook is a nationally famous dulcimerist, and has recorded
numerous CDs and soundtracks, and is in demand for his performances on this
popular folk instrument.

Cornissimo
a Quatro. This
ensemble of four French horns is directed by Dr. Howard Hilliard, and will
perform a varied concert of light classics and some contemporary literature

Derek
McNatt, Baritone.
Former choir director at Lord of Life, Mr. McNatt is completing a Sacred
Music Masters degree at SMU and is Director of Music at Flower Mound UMC.His
vocal recital will include works by Mozart, Dvorak and Schumann, as well as
numbers from modern musical theatre.

Camerata Chamber Winds.
This Coppell-based professional wind ensemble (ie., clarinets, oboes,
bassoon, etc) will perform an eclectic concert of some of the best music (known
and less well-known) written for wind instruments.

Festival Service of Lessons and Carols. (Sunday* evening.)
This service, featuring the talented musicians serving Lord of Life’s
Music Ministry, will recount the Advent/Christmas story in Scripture and song.

ParaCelt Duo. Evelyn
Stone, Celtic harp, and Judith Romero, Paraguayan harp, are frequent performers
throughout Texas, and their recordings are played often on local radio stations. Their instruments are much smaller than the full-sized harp,
and have been utilized in folk music traditions for hundreds of years.

Lutheran High
School Band & Choir, St. Charles County, Missouri. We
welcome these young voices and instrumentalists on their Spring tour. They
will present Bought With a Price, a sacred concert which includes
works of Brahms, Copland, and Rutter as well as arrangements of
traditional and recent compositions. A freewill offering will be taken for
this special event. |

Robert Guthrie, Classical Guitar.
This internationally-famous guitarist teaches at SMU and performs both
solo concerts and with concerts with ensembles frequently.
His mastery as teacher and performer is evidenced by the large number of
his students who have also achieved great career success. |

Benjamin
Kolodziej, Organist.
Lord of Life’s Director of Worship and resident organist (shown
here with the Perkins Chapel Organ, Southern Methodist University) will perform his annual Spring
concert of organ music. This
concert will differ from past events in that it will be a multimedia experience!
