DALLAS SAXOPHONE QUARTET
The Fine Arts/Concert Series of Lord
of Life Lutheran Church, Plano, presents the harmonious sounds of the
Dallas Saxophone Quartet in concert on Saturday, 26 January at 7pm. Formed to provide chamber music for wedding
ceremonies, corporate events and public performances, the DSQ strives to
entertain and educate its audiences with a repertoire that spans from Bach, to
jazz, to Dixieland. The ensemble was
formed from the saxophone section of Moodswings, a
popular big band in the area. For this
concert, classical pieces of Mozart, Liszt, Mancini, Grainger and Holst will be featured alongside popular favorites by Glenn
Miller, Sousa, Paul Desmond and the Beatles.
Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Plano is located at 3601 W. 15th Street (near the Medical Center, one block east of Coit Road).
