Lord of Life
Fine Arts/Concert Series presents Dr Jeffrey
Blersch, organist, in concert on
Saturday, 19 September at 7pm. Dr
Blersch, is a graduate of Oberlin and the
University of Michigan, where he earned the
Doctor of Musical Arts in organ
performance. He has studied organ
with Roberta Gary, Garth Peacock, and
Marilyn Mason, organ improvisation with
Haskell Thomson, and choral conducting with
Herbert Henke and Daniel Moe. Currently
Professor of Organ at Concordia University,
Seward, NE, he is a prolific composer of
organ and choral works. This concert will
feature much of his own music in addition to
music of Bach, Couperin and Walther. Dr
Blersch will play the 32 rank organ at Lord
of Life on which he formerly taught and
performed before it was sold to Lord of
Life, undergoing a full renovation and
enlargement in 2007.
Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Plano is located
at 3601 W. 15th Street (near the Medical Center,
one block east of Coit Road). The concert is
