ADORING represents the biblical purpose of Worship, which comes to us from Matthew 22:37
- "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all of your soul, and with all of your mind."
Some examples of Adoring events at Lord of Life include trips to the Passion Play in Eureka Springs, AR, trips to various Christian concerts, and attending the annual Celebrate Freedom event every 4th of July.
REACHING represents the biblical purpose of Evangelism, which comes to us from Matthew 28:19
- "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…"
Some examples of Reaching events at Lord of Life include Vacation Bible School, our annual Youth Ministry Kickoff Water Carnival, and our annual Spring Christian Concert.
MENTORING represents the biblical purpose of Discipleship which comes to us from Matthew 28:20
- "Teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you, and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of age."
Some examples of Mentoring events include Church on Wednesday, Financial Responsibility classes, and Sunday morning Bible Studies.
OFFERING represents the biblical purpose of Ministry, which comes to us from Matthew 22:39
- "And a second is like it, you shall love your neighbor as yourself."
Some examples of Offering events include food drives, visits to the Nelson Center for Abused Children, and servant events to Mexico, Pennsylvania, and Alaska, in addition to local servant events such as working with Christian Community Action in Lewisville.
RELATIONSHIPS represents the biblical purpose of Fellowship which comes to us from Matthew 28:19
- "baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit."
Some examples of Relationship functions include whirleyball, camping trips, family swim and barbecue, movie nights, and our monthly youth nights.
