Comfort Makers (Quilters)

The Comfort Makers at Lord of Life are blessed to be a part of the outreach of Lutheran World Relief, a nationwide organization dedicated to sharing the Love of Christ to people all around the world by providing for some of the basic needs of those in difficult or crisis circumstances.

Our group meets 3 times a month to assemble quilts for distribution in 27 different countries as well as our own country, in response to both man-made and natural disasters. Once a year, they are shipped to a warehouse in Maryland, where they are then distributed to those in need. These quilts may bring warmth on a cold night or shelter from the sun on a hot day, serve as a bed, a room divider, a back pack to carry belongings, and at times, even a home.
