Easter Treasure Hunt
Each year the congregation
and children are invited to go back in
time to learn about Jesus’
amazing life!
This is a tradition for
families as they prepare
for Holy Week traveling
through Jerusalem with a
young boy during the last
week of Jesus’ life. The Easter
Treasure Hunt is based
on the book, Benjamin’s Box,
by Melody Carlson. Each year the
activities are new.
Each family is given an
empty treasure box, and they pick up
“treasures” and make crafts
reminding them of the
happy, sad, bittersweet and
joyful times leading to the
marvelous Resurrection. Breakfast snacks and Easter
egg coloring also are
enjoyed.
Although children love the
story because it is told
from the perspective of a
young boy, the event is for
everyone in the
congregation, whether young
or old, single, married,
with children, or without!
Share the message with
someone you love; friends
and neighbors also are
welcome.
