O God, whom saints and angels delight to worship in heaven: Be ever present with your servants who seek through art and music to perfect the praises offered by your people on earth; and grant to them even now glimpses of your beauty, and make them worthy at length to behold it unveiled for evermore; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Music Ministry at Lord of Life exists to glorify God and edify His people through music and programmes which actively promote Word and Sacrament worship, Lutheran catechesis, and musical education. Our choirs and ensembles are comprised of both professionals and volunteers, and there are outlets for both accomplished musicians as well as those simply wishing to praise God through their music. Choirs provide opportunities for singers of all ages. The adult choir leads worship two or three times a month as well as for all festival services. The youth choir consists of those in grades 6-12, whilst the children’s choir consists of children through fifth grade.

Lord of Life also has numerous instrumentalists who participate in the Music Ministry by joining standing groups with regular rehearsals such as the the Handbell Choir and the Recorder Ensemble or by using their talent in a variety of instrumental ensembles and solo opportunities that regularly occur throughout the year.

In addition to the participatory Music Ministry programs at Lord of Life, the Music Ministry also presents two separate concerts series. Joining the long-running evening Fine Arts/Concert Series, Music at Midday offers 35-40 minute mostly organ concerts performed on the first Wednesday of every month plus every Wednesday during Advent and Eastertide.
