MISSIONS:
Lord of Life continues to remain strongly
committed to missions, both locally and
globally. In 2009 Lord of Life gave over
$107,000 to missions or about 17.5% of her
budget. Pastor Lindner is presenting a check for
$2,500 to Chaplain Mike Moreno, program manager
for Synod’s “Operation Barnabas.” This ministry
reaches out to reserve families in our community
whose loved ones are deployed in harms way.
Lord of Life Lutheran Church is a Christian
community REACHING OUT to bring people
into a living relationship with Jesus Christ. We
understand that our Founder, the Head of the
Church, our Savior and Lord, LOVES ALL
PEOPLE.
Out of His great love, He gave the church this
assignment:
"...Go and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of
the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching
them to obey everything I have commanded you.
And surely I am with you always, to the very end
of the age." (Matthew 28:18-20 NIV)
Therefore the members of our church family are
continually seeking ways to reach our community,
state, nation and world with the Gospel of
salvation through Jesus Christ.
"For it is by grace you have been saved,
through faith--and this not from yourselves, it
is the gift of God-- not by works, so that no
one can boast. For we are God's workmanship,
created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which
God prepared in advance for us to do..."
(Ephesians 2:8-10).

In a continuous show of support to the lay
missionaries that reach out to our DFW community
through LINC, Lord of Life will be contributing
$400 from its 5% Missions Fund to assist
missionary George Masih with family living
expenses. Mr. Masih, formerly of Pakistan, has
been place with People of the Book Lutheran
Outreach Texas (POBLO) to partner with LINC in
their efforts to reach Muslims, Hindus and other
non-Christian people in the east Dallas
community. Lord of Life would also like to
recognize and say thank you to Thrivent
Financial for Lutherans for their generous
matching of this contribution from their Care
Abounds in Communities Program. Thrivent has
also generously offered supplemental funds for
two of Lord of Life's other ongoing community
missions.
